This delightful Antique Edwardian Suffragette pendant has been modelled in 9ct Yellow Gold and features the form of bee. The body of the bee is set with a lovely Peridot which weighs approx. 0.50ct and the head of the bee is set with an Amethyst weighing approx. 0.08ct. The wings of the bee are further set with an array of Pearls.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which were chosen to counter the masculine women’s rights stereotypes put forward by opponents. Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
A lovely pendant with a great sentiment, which would look fabulous on a gold chain.
